Brian Jones
"Twisted through Pop, subverted by Punk and born in Liverpool" is how Brian Jones describes himself. His work plays with well known popular culture images, managing to be humourous and witty as well as dealing with current world issures such as war and politics.
Jones studied for his degree in fine art at Liverpool Polytechnic, where he was taught by fellow Opus Underground artist Jamie Reid.
His works have been shown alongside those of Andy Warhol, Richard Hamilton and Roy Lichtenstein to name but a few. He has pieces in public collections, including the House of Commons and the V&A. Politicians, Premiership football managers and pop stars are among the many collectors of his work.
