Crazy Jake

Crazy Jake Crazy Jake grew up in Ohio, in the United States and was surrounded by academics and path he chose to follow before dropping out to follow the Grateful Dead around the States. When asked he said he tries to create art which tells a story “Art is not right or wrong. Art is not good or bad. Art is shit. What this means is that art (that you hang on a wall) is a byproduct of the artist and the experience he/she had creating it. True art, seen through the eyes of the artist, is the experience you go through creating it.” He followed this by saying “The pieces I create are from issues I think about, and are passionate about. I don’t just sit down and paint to create a nice piece. I do it to get something off my chest. I have many issues I would like to address: politics, humanity, obesity, and war, just to name a few.”
