Recent graduate of Newcastle University Olov Taul, originally from Estonia, uses found materials to create his pieces, which are made from an eclectic variety of sources. Among his materials are old car manuals, discarded medical books and brown paper, which he adds to using paint and varnish.
Olov explains, 'I like to draw together the mechanical and the physical, putting the mechanic and the organic side by side. In a way, inside we are all machines and I like to play with the notion through my work'.
