Following a highly successful career as a commercial photographer in Caracas, Venezuela, working for the likes of Ford, General Motors and Kodak and renowned for his pioneering special effects work using dark room techniques alone, Opus Art proudly present Simon Jauncey’s Artistic Debut: Visual Jazz.

As Jazz improvises around a theme to create a mood, Visual Jazz captures the essence of its subject by substituting precise detail and a definite subject with a focus on movement, colour and rhythm, producing images whose ethereal quality suggests an ‘‘otherness’’ deeply connected to our everyday existence.

Featuring photographs from cities around the globe including Madrid, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and of course Newcastle, as well as a unique perspective on events such as The Edinburgh Festival and the Horse Races, this show has a little something for everyone.

This spectacular show opens on Friday, 26 February, with an Exclusive Private View on Thursday, 25 February, from 6pm. Come along to browse and buy while you enjoy a glass or two of wine, taking advantage of the exceptional expertise of everyone here at Opus Art.
